Retro Evolved

Me and a friend did this 4'x4' painting for our schools tech room.
Geometry wars!

It's got some real rough spots (Tape marks, lots of overspray, etc) because we had to crank it out really quickly, but overall we both think it turned out really well.

Layed down a mish mash of rainbow with spray cans, then layed out a whole bunch of string (We meant to move some of the strings around in order to make it look like the grid was distorting around the high-action areas, like in the game, but completely forgot when we were doing the string part!). We then layed down a layer of black with spray cans, removed the strings so that there was a rainbow grid, then, with a bunch of stencils I had made, we started laying down all of the geo's. It was my first time using my new airbrush, and I have to say, it was a lot of fun. So much freedom.
